7. Trade and service

In 2022, there were 124 markets, 02 commercial centers and 20
supermarkets in the province. Generally, the transaction activities at
markets, commercial centers and supermarkets basically remained stable;
food, foodstuffs and other essential commodities were enough to meet
the people's demands. Trade promotion activities attracted the people’s
interests. The gross retail sales of goods and services in 2022 reached

71,029 billion VND, an increase of 43.08% compared to that in 2021 (of
which, retail sales of goods; accommodation, eating out and traveling
activities; and other services shot up 35.16%; 72.76%; and 51.40%,
respectively). The gross retail sales of goods and services in 2022
possessed a robust rise compared to that in 2021 due to the low turnover

in 2021 and the recovery in business and production activities of
establishment and enterprises, as well as the increasing demands for
consumption and recreation. On the other hand, the prices of some food
and foodstuffs, gasoline, petroleum oil, precious metals, construction
materials, and gold in the year contributed to significantly rise the gross
retail sales of some goods and overall turnover. At the same time, the
establishments of food services invested, decorated and diversified

business modality to attract a large number of clients using eating out
services. The recreation, excursion and entertainment activities saw a
sharp increase during vacations and Tet holiday.

7.1. Export and import

The authorities at all levels focused on the implementation of
solutions to support businesses for acceleration of the production and
business activities in the province since the first months of 2022,
especially the proper implementation of policies on enterprises support for
the production recovery and development. The production and business

activities of enterprises in the province recovered and developed, the
reopened businesses achieved good turnover and profit. The processing
and exportation activities of aquatic and seafood processing enterprises
thrived and created new decent jobs for employees. However, these
