supported funeral expenses for 3,506 families as target beneficiaries
under social protection policy, support allowance for people aged 80
years or over who were enjoying the social insurance survivorship

allowance and other monthly beneficiaries, with the total budget of more
than 18.9 billion VND; providing emergency support for 240 hungry
households; 86 households lost their houses due to collapse or fires with
a total support amount of 246 million VND.

8.2. Education

Much attention was paid to education and training. The education
and training sector well performed its professional tasks and focused on

implementing several key activities of the sector.

Teachers and education administration human resources recorded a
significant development in both quantity and quality. Its structure,
capability and qualification were relatively consistent and met
requirements of educational development in the province, especially

amid the 2018 general education reform.

The school network was arranged in a stable and concentrated
manner in order to minimize rampant and ineffective arrangement;
essential facilities and equipment for education enjoyed considerable
investment, therefore, it facilitated access to education for pupils and
their educational benefits.

The authorities organized the 2022 graduation exam of upper
secondary schools in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of
Education and Training (from 6 to 8 July, 2022). The total number of
candidates was 10,030 persons. There were 9,570 out of 9,643
candidates passed the upper secondary school graduation exam in 2022,

made up 99.24%.

Regarding schools classified as meeting national standards: as of
December 2022, there were 372 out of 463 schools meeting national
standards, reaching the proportion of 80.35% (the 2022 plan set-out 80%).
