1.1. Sector I: Agriculture, forestry, fishery

Provincial and local authorities effectively realized the 2023

production plan such as solutions for drought, water scarcity, saltwater
intrusion, and water reserve sources for production and people's lives;
preventive measures for storms, high tides, landslides; people advocacy
for crop restructure, seasonal calendar recommendation; proactive
measures for controlling diseases in livestock, poultry, and aquatic

products, etc. In 2023, Sector I recorded an economic growth rate of
2.65%. As can be seen from the Table 2, the agriculture, forestry and
fishery production was not stable in the period 2019 to 2023.

In 2023, the value added of agricultural activities and related
services at current prices was 18,572 billion VND, and 10,473 billion
VND at constant 2010 prices, an increase of 1.91% compared to that

in 2022.

The value added of forestry activities and related services in 2023
at current prices gained 282 billion VND, and 154 billion VND at
constant 2010 prices, a year-on-year rise of 2.31%.

In 2023, the value added of fishing and aquaculture activities at
current prices accomplished 11,118 billion VND, and 6,616 billion

VND at constant 2010 prices, a year-on-year increase of 3.85%.
