Soc Trang province revealed unstable GRDP growth rates over the years.
In the period 2019-2023, the GRDP growth rate was 4.61%. The GRDP
growth rate in 2019 which was not affected by the Covid-19 pandemic,
was 5.91%, while the economic growth rate in 2020 and 2021 only

reached 1.26% and 2.48% respectively due to the impact of the Covid-19
pandemic. In 2022, the GRDP growth rate was 7.80%, showing signs of
economic recovery in the province after the pandemic. In 2023, the
GRDP growth rate reached 5.77%, which was higher than the average
growth rate in the period 2019-2023, but still lower than that in 2019 due
to the impact after the Covid-19 pandemic./.
